There are three different classes of FeedBlitz API available to end users and developers:
Public APIs - No authentication required
These functions deliver basic features such as subscription forms for arbitrary content sources and more. These APIs are basically simple URLs; they are easy to use even if you have minimal (or less!) programming skills. Read more >>
Public APIs - API Key Authenticated
For most common API requests, a range of simple APIs exist to allow web site developers to quickly add email and social media subscription mechanisms to existing sites and forms. Authentication is via an API Key, managed at My Account | API Keys. They are suitable for web developers comfortable with basic web scripting languages (e.g. PHP, ASP / .NET ). If you have a web developer who builds your web site or blog for you, they can easily handle this.
These APIs are only available to FeedBlitz publishers with an upgraded account. Read more >>
API keys are now required to access the REST API (See below).
Public REST API - Authenticated
The REST API is a rich (and complex) XML-based API that requires more significant efforts in terms of time and resources to manage. Please contact technical support if you're contemplating using these APIs - there's may be an easier way to do what you want! These APIs are available to all FeedBlitz publishers.
Private Solution Provider APIs
For solution provider partners we offer a range of private APIs that allow for the automatic creation of FeedBlitz accounts, integration with your back-end systems and more. Please contact technical support for more information.
