Allowing subscribers to suspend their email delivery for a time

Simon Mackay Feb 04, 2015 07:12PM EST

A situation that has come to my attention to my (existing) Feedburner list is where someone unsubscribed from my blog's email output because they were going on vacation, but had to go through the full re-subscribe rigmarole to get going again now they are back in town.

I am wanting to know if there is an option to allow subscribers to "park" or suspend their subscription for a time but allow them to reinstigate that subscription easily without all the rigmarole of going through a new-subscription routine with all the new-subscription emails?

This could be in the form of allowing the subscriber to determine a date to resume delivery or simply to receive a reminder email at regular intervals such as once a week or once a month. This is similar to an opt-in confirmation email that tells them that they have suspended their service and they can click on the link to continue delivery.

It could be augmented by either a summary newsletter with links to the latest articles or successive delivery of the last few articles they had missed.

With regards,

Simon Mackay

Hello Simon,

Subscribers have a "Pause" option in their FeedBlitz subscriber accounts.

1. The subscriber logs into their FeedBlitz subscriber account.

2. Navigate to "My Subscriptions" in the left-hand menu.

3. Select the newsletter from the list that needs to be paused.

4. "Pause temporarily" will be at the top of the page.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Ashley
