Subscribers wanting to "rope in" others to a newsletter subscription

Simon Mackay Aug 15, 2015 08:47AM EDT

A situation that has occurred with my Website's email subscription is that there are readers who like the content so much that they want to bring their relative, friend or colleague in to the party.

Previously, this required them to populate the subscription form with their friend's email address and the friend would then complete the double opt-in themselves when they open their email. This would typically be prefaces with conversation between the subscriber and the friend about signing up for this list.

Is there a way to improve the process such as a customised personalised opt-in email that the subscriber can cause to be sent out to their friend?

Hi Simon,

Amanda from FeedBlitz Support here. Thank you for contacting us today with your question. It's great your subscribers are interested in recruiting others to your list!

Our suggestion is to create a specialized subscription form with our SmartForms, then include the link in your email newsletters. Here's a quick link to help you get started creating a new subscription form: http://support.feedblitz.com/customer/portal/articles/2037733-design-your-new-smart-forms---quick-and-easy

You can customize your activation email also, via editing your newsletter’s settings, click the “Subscriber Interaction, Activation, and Notification” tab, then click the activation email blue link in the second paragraph – from here you can edit the content of the email.

Kind regards,
Amanda Henson
