Feed driven by 1 category ONLY
I want only 1 category in my blog to send out to a list.
How do I set this up?
I did it but I don't get any posts through. So it's not working right
There are several ways to do this. You can filter the feed before it gets to Feedblitz, if the site is a WordPress site, you would accomplish this by using: http://domain.com/[category]/feed as the source of the mailing. (The [category] would be replaced with the actual category name.
You can "dice" the feed like: feeds.feedblitz.com/yourextension/tag/categoryname and use that as the source of a mailing.
Or you can do this in the Settings of a mailing in FeedBlitz, if you already have a mailing in place for the entire site, log in to FeedBlitz, click on the current mailing, click on Settings, then click Clone Mailing. Follow the Onscreen instructions and get the mailing set up.
Then from the dashboard of the new mailing click Settings. Make sure you're on the first tab of the Settings page - Mailing Settings and Schedule. Look in the first paragraph for the last link. Click it.
In the first blank of the dialogue box enter the category name, save settings. Now go the dashboard of the newsletter. Click the green Send a Mailing button, select On Demand, make sure the articles that you can select are from the correct category. If you cannot select any articles, check your site to make sure at least one post in the category has been published. If so. go back to your Settings and check the dialogue box for a typo and fix the category name.
