My List Was Suspended, Now What?

FeedBlitz protects the deliverability of all publishers in many ways, both automated and manual. One of our automated policies was violated by your most recent mailing. When your list was suspended an automated email was sent that told you to contact support for more information. This article was written to provide more context.

Why was my list suspended?

Services like Gmail, Yahoo, and others constantly monitor emails coming from services like FeedBlitz to make sure they are closely following best practices. An important part of following best practices is responding quickly when spam has been reported and which means sending only email people want to receive your email.

Large email providers like Gmail and Yahoo also see when many people unsubscribe from the same mailing. These email providers know what bulk email service provider sent those emails, affecting that provider's overall deliverability.

The behavior of one bad list can affect the deliverability of all publishers.

This is why FeedBlitz reacts immediately when a campaign's metrics fall outside of our tolerance level.

The reasons subscribers mark an email as spam can vary wildly and we at FeedBlitz know that sometimes a subscriber is just having a bad day and will mark an email as spam just because. We do have that bad day factor built into our threshold and we also know that not every mailing is going to resonate 100% with every one of your readers.

What happens when my list has been suspended?

The suspension lasts for 24 hours following the start of the problematic mailing. Your list cannot be reinstated prior to that. Please contact support to request a review and restoration. Please note that If the 24 hours will end after business hours (Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm Eastern excluding holidays) the list will be reinstated during the next business day if it passes the manual review process.
