Yes, it is possible to offer to send your subscribers both a daily mailing and a weekly mailing, but a better option would be to give them a choice between the two schedules. You can offer the choice in your sign-up form, as an option in your template, and as a chance to redeem an unsubscribing reader who was overwhelmed with too many emails.
Start by cloning your existing campaign.
Set the schedule of your new campaign. You can also learn about campaign schedules in this article.
You can edit an existing form to add your new list as an option.
Remember, if you use the widget or pop-up code to add the form to your site, you must replace the form code on your site. If you use the script version of the form code, it will update automatically after saving.
In your template, you can use a Button and Destination Link with the Add to a list action to change your subscriber's subscription.
Then, use a trigger, to unsubscribe them from the daily list when they subscribe to the weekly. Your subscriber will not have to opt back in. The subscribe and unsubscribe actions will happen silently in the background.
Finally, you can use the opt-out redirect as a chance to offer your subscriber the less frequent mailing. Create a SmartForm for your weekly digest that targets this type of unsubscriber. You may want a title like Too Many Emails? Try our weekly digest instead. Once you have created the SmartForm, copy the URL of the form and navigate to the List Settings of the list that mails daily.
Paste the URL of your SmartForm in the Opt-Out Redirection URL Text Box and click Save Settings.
If you really do want to send both the weekly campaign to the subscribers of your daily list, you will need to copy the existing subscribers into your new list and set up triggers to add any new subscribers to your new weekly campaign.
