What Is a Trigger?

In FeedBlitz, triggers are rules applied when a subscriber takes an action. It is often simplest to think of these rules in an if this, then that format.

If a subscriber does X, then Y happens.

Triggers can be used to:

  • Tag subscribers
  • Add or remove subscribers from lists
  • Add or remove subscribers from groups

Triggers exist on three levels within the FeedBlitz platform, but not all triggers are available to all FeedBlitz Publishers.

Start at your list dashboard and click Automation > Activity-Based Triggers.

On the next screen, you can set up triggers based on subscriber actions, such as subscribing, unsubscribing, or finishing a funnel, depending on the type of list you started with.

You can learn more about using these triggers in these articles:

If you are a FeedBlitz Accel or Enterprise Publisher, you can access Network Activity Triggers. These triggers can be applied when one of your subscribers opens or clicks on any email sent by any publisher within the FeedBlitz network of publishers. You can learn about that in this article: How to Use Inbox Activity Detection.

FeedBlitz Accel or Enterprise Publishers also enjoy Campaign-Based Triggers, which give you all the power of list-based triggers for every campaign sent.
